Crime Stoppers works through the coordinated efforts of the Media, the Community and Law Enforcement Agencies. Local radio, TV, and newspapers publicize the Crime Stoppers "Crime of the Week" on a weekly basis. Citizens throughout the community serve on the Board of Directors that establish policy, determine reward amounts, and assist in fund raising efforts. No tax dollars are involved in the Crime Stoppers Program.

A special Crime Stoppers phone line (which is not recorded and does not have caller ID) is staffed with trained personnel. Information provided by the caller is routed to the appropriate law enforcement agency that is investigating the case. If the information received leads to an arrest, the caller may be entitled to an award of up to $1,000.00.

If you know information about a crime or suspect, call
241-STOP (7867) or 1-800 221-STOP (7867).
